Last Sunday, the Church celebrated Ascension Sunday, the moment when Jesus ascended to the Father and promised that the Holy Spirit would soon come upon His people in power. Ten days later, that promise was fulfilled. The Spirit descended like wind and fire, filling the disciples and launching the mission of the Church. (Acts 2:1–4)

This Sunday, we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, fifty days after the Resurrection, when heaven touched earth in a powerful new way. In many ways, we are still living in the age of the Holy Spirit. Yet so many people have never truly been taught about the Spirit, never understood who He is, or discovered what it means to live filled with His presence and power.

Join us on Sunday as we explore the “three streams” of the Christian life: Scripture, Sacrament, and the Holy Spirit with a special focus on the Spirit Himself. We will talk about the gifts of the Spirit and give you the opportunity to pray for at least 1 of them. The list includes:

Discernment, Encouragement, Exhortation, Faith, Generosity, Healing, Hospitality, Interpretation, Knowledge, Leadership, Mercy, Miracles, Prayer, Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Tongues, Wisdom

Red is the traditional color of Pentecost, symbolizing the fire of the Holy Spirit that descended upon the disciples, filled them with boldness, empowered spiritual gifts, and sent them out on mission.
