James 5:14 encourages us to pray for healing. “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will see the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"

As most of you know, we are offering a healing service at all 3 services this Sunday, the 29th. This will take place during the sermon time with teaching and healing prayer offered. We have been doing this for several years and many of you and your friends have experienced healing, encouragement, wonder and awe. We have even heard about people watching the service online who have been healed. We include your children in this service so they can be encouraged to know this is a normal practice for Christians. They will have the opportunity to receive the laying on of hands and participate praying for others as well.

Remember, every time we pray something happens and sometimes when we pray everything happens in healing. It’s not about technique or whether we have enough faith etc. It is about God and trusting Him and the Holy Spirit. We want to make ourselves intentionally available. We want to live a naturally supernatural life.

control issues

neurological

relational healing with forgiveness, reconciliation

joints

You are encouraged to send in your requests for us to include in our service Sunday HERE. As we have done in the past, we will call out certain categories, hands are raised and those in close proximity will lay hands and I or other clergy will lead the prayer. Two quick thoughts: we know anyone can pray for healing, not just clergy. But, for times sake and some sense of control and teaching, we lead the prayer. Secondly, we may not get to every prayer request but there are many other opportunities. You can receive prayer during Holy Communion, our Wednesday noonday services, or make an appointment with Mike Murphy/Meredith Drogin here or with clergy here.

Finally, this is a great time to invite friends, neighbors, family and anyone who is in need of healing prayer or who would like to hear more about it.
